I had purchased a bag of these CD26s because I had some really wide (5”) prospective containers to test and wanted to see if I could avoid double wicking. I’ve had issues with tunneling using the larger gauge ECO wicks and figured I’d see if these performed better. They definitely did! I still wasn’t expecting to get a full pool on a 5” diameter container but after a 5 hour test burn the pool reached the edges! Solid hot throw using 464 and an 8% fragrance load after 2 weeks of cure.

For those experiencing mushrooming or excessive sooting, make sure you trim them to 1/4” before each burn. CD wicks don’t need a lot of head to catch a flame and build a pool without drowning, and leaving too much wick head will definitely cause mushrooming and excessive soot as the extra wick head burns off. These work well in my >3'' tin with GB444 and some mica. Took a few tries that deviated from the guide since the small bit of mica likes to clog the wick. I noted mushrooming and sooting while testing smaller sizes, but that's why you test. Not every wick will work with every size, wax, or fragrance. It's not exact science, which I know frustrates some, but it's not the fault of the wick. I would have loved for CS to make the ultimate sample pack for all soy wicks when I first started out, but the guide is fairly accurate.

I use these with 444GW and 8oz & 16oz apothecary jars and the HT and CT are just amazing.

Use these for 10 oz candles in 8 oz apothecary jars with 444 soy wax everything melts even and am happy with burn times!
