Fragrance oil blending with BlendingElements, or any fragrance oil, is a lot of fun. But safety comes first, and our quick IFRA usage rates reference for BlendingElements is here to make your blending experience as simple as possible.

IFRA usage rates tell users the most fragrance they can use in an application and remain safe. However, that doesn’t necessarily tell you, the maker, how much to use in each base. That’s why our usage rates are often much lower than what is recommended on an IFRA certificate. Those recommendations for each BlendingElements fragrance oil are listed below in an easy-to-read chart.

One last important safety note: If you’re blending fragrances where one fragrance has a lower usage rate than another, use the lowest usage rate for your finished product. For instance, Bergamot Element has a Reed Diffuser usage rate of 13.1%, while Strawberry Element’s usage rate is 25%. Your combined, total fragrance usage rate should be 13.1% or lower.
