New Scents, New Adventures!  Our Spring & Summer 2025 fragrance lineup is here—packed with sunshine, wanderlust, and pure magic. Don’t miss a single scent!

Sink into a soothing dream with Golden Moon Milk fragrance oil, inspired by the traditional Indian Ayurvedic beverage haldi doodh, Hindi for “turmeric milk”. Bright top notes of bergamot and lemon create levity, opening into earthy turmeric and a heart of rich milk, spicy cardamom, and aromatic lavender. Base notes of comforting vanilla, sweet tonka bean, and soft musk lull this fragrance to a close.

Unwind with Golden Moon Milk candles, wax melts, and room sprays. Or, try this fragrance in comforting personal care products, including soaps, lotions, and perfumes.

What is moon milk? Moon milk is a warm, spiced, and herb-infused milk-based beverage that originated in Ayurveda, India's traditional healthcare system. With its warmth and soothing ingredients, it’s considered ideal for bedtime relaxation.

This fragrance is infused with natural essential oils including orange peel, cardamom, and lemon.

Blends well with: Smoked Oud, Chocolate Fudge, Forest Chai

Alternative branding ideas: Lunar Elixir, Turmeric Latte, Moon Milk

Suggested colors: Cream, Yellow, Butter Yellow

Fragrance was added at a light trace. We hand stirred this fragrance in and never pulsed. Be prepared for rapid acceleration if you choose to pulse your immersion blender. We experienced moderate acceleration, but no separation.

After 30 days, scent retention was good. The bars discolored to a dark brown. We recommend a small test batch for this scent for your specific soap recipe. Recipes with more hard butters/oils may have excessive acceleration.

Love this!

I’m so bored with vanilla but need to keep something like it in the line think I’m going to sub this one for vanilla this year. It’s warm and comforting and just yummy smelling. I use golden sandal also and this smells nothing like it. It’s definitely warm spiced milk.

This scent is BEAUTIFUL!

I have to respectfully disagree with the previous review. Though I guess I could smell similarities, it definitely doesn't smell just like golden santal IMO. This scent is so lovely and unique -- earthy, spicy and milky all in one. I can definitely see myself using this scent in my spring line. And I found that it blends well with Apothecary!

Incredible

I never really write reviews, most times I lurk and read the reviews before making my own purchases. This smells nothing like Golden Santal. Don’t judge it OOB in 464 wax it levels out and creates what I can only describe as being a warm cup of tea with cream and sugar. Honestly I think it does a better job of encompassing that vibe better than High Tea did. Seriously it’s so good Im rolling out an Alice in Wonderland Collection and this will the star of the show. Try it! You won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful Scent

This does share some warm spiced sweetness with Golden Santal, but to me they’re very, very different. I don’t like Golden Santal - there’s a cologne-ish base note that always turns me away from it. It’s woodsy, and has a different vibe to it: more masculine, more sultry, and far from gourmand. Golden Moon Milk is different, and I can barely put the bottle down because I love the smell so much - there’s a sugariness that isn’t saccharine; it’s warm and delicate, with a comforting, subtly lactonic note to it. The lavender is very subtle but adds a hint of dreamy, soothing floral. Golden Santal smells sweet in the way some raw wood does, but Golden Moon Milk smells sweet in the gourmand way, and does it so well that I have to remind myself I cannot eat fragrance oil. I can see the comparison, but this fragrance is very unique to me even relative to my whole collection, and I have sampled 100+ fragrances from 6+ companies. It’s comforting, cozy spiced sweetness in a bottle, and if you’re intrigued by the notes it’s definitely worth a try!
