As one of our bestselling fragrance oils (and a personal favorite of our staff!) this revision was a big one. An Amber Noir CleanScent™ replacement has been in the works for years and we refused to compromise on the characteristics that make this fragrance so good. Sweet and sensual top notes of fruity plum and citrus merge with a heart of sultry amber and jasmine, resting on base notes of musk and amyris. This iteration maintains the fragrance’s signature complex and sensual scent that makes it so well suited as a year-round luxury fragrance perfect for candles, wax melts, or bath and body products.

This fragrance oil is infused with natural essential oils, including cypress, cedarwood, patchouli, mandarine/tangerine, orange sweet, nootka tree, and davana.

Blend recommendations: Patchouli, Lavender, Neroli and White JasmineSmoked Oud, Lemongrass and Verbena Citronella

Alternative branding ideas: Jasmine and Cedar, Amber Musk, White Citrus Blossom, Amber Cedar

Suggested colors: Light Brown, Light Yellow, Orange

Oil Temperature 98ºF (36.7°C)

We experienced slight acceleration but no separation. We had a nice light trace but with two quick pulses of the stick blender it came to a thick trace. The batter did not stiffen or thicken as we poured it into the mold. After 24 hours, the soap had discolored to a slight beige color and the scent was strong, with a more dominant spice note than the fragrance does out of the bottle. We observed that the soap had almost reached a full gel. After 30 days, the soap discolored to a tan shade and the scent remained strong and was more balanced overall. Hand stirring the fragrance in at a light trace may allow additional work time for a more detailed design.

My favorite scent
Terri 2024-12-14

I don't make candles or anything... I'm just someone who uses these oils for my own personal enjoyment. With that said, this amber is my go to. I use it in my homedics fragrance diffuser and wow.... I'm overwhelmed by how the fragrance carries throughout my entire living room/ dining room/ kitchen area. It's warm and inviting. It blows the homedics fragrances out of the water (could barely smell those!). Every scent that candle science makes is top notch, and I'm so happy I love near one of their facilities because shopping for scents becomes that much easier! Give this one a try and hopefully you'll love it as much as I do!

The Best Musk
Sammie Byler 2024-10-22

This is the perfect musky scent! It's soft, warm, slightly sweet. The hot and cold throw using GB464 at 7% is amazing!

Customer Favorite

Amber Noir is a fan favorite. Every time someone picks it up to smell it, they do that thing where their eyes roll to the back of their head, then they mumble something inaudible, take another huge sniff, and buy the candle.

I run 8% in gb454 for candles and 10% in gb494 for melts. I'm about to try it out in lotion and see how it performs. I'm super disappointed that it can't be used in diffusers, though.
