The Stainless Steel Wax Melter 30 lb is ideal for those ready to scale up their small business, but aren’t quite ready for the Stainless Steel Wax Melter 65 lb. Used at full capacity, this candle wax melter holds 30 lbs of wax and can quickly fill almost 70 Medium Straight Sided Jars (threaded) to the recommended 7 oz fill line or over 55 Straight Sided Tumbler Jars (Libbey) to the recommended 8.5 oz fill line.

Melting times vary depending on the type of wax and heat setting. A full tank of wax flakes, on average, takes about 40 minutes to melt.

Wax Melter Features:

  • LCD Display
  • 4 gallon capacity
  • Programmable electronic thermostat that shows the current temperature
  • Alert when programmed temperature is reached
  • Programmable timer for start/run time
  • Dry heat cut off at 374 F
  • Standard 100v power plug
  • Stainless steel ball valve / faucet 90-degree outlet
  • Ability to hold liquid wax temperature to within +/- 3 degrees F
  • Centered heating element to promote wax naturally mixing together
  • Solid base that stays in place when unit is empty
  • Low sheen stainless steel housing

Troubleshooting Tips to Avoid E4 Errors:

  • Always start the melter on 600W.
  • Leave the lid off while your melter heats up.
  • Slab wax should be broken down into smaller pieces to cover the bottom of the melter in order to avoid dry heat errors.
  • If you do trigger an E4 error, allow the unit to cool below 100ºF before resetting. If the unit has not reached 100ºF you can follow the reset procedure without waiting for the unit to cool.
  • When resetting the melter, push in the reset button until you hear a click. Note that you may need to press fairly hard.
  • The 1600W setting is designed for very high melt point waxes and can only be used after melting an initial, significant amount of the wax.

We do not recommend this vessel for melt and pour soap; however, it is suitable for master batching oils for cold or hot process soap.

Where are all of these bad reviews coming from?

I purchased this melter back in January and have absolutely LOVED it! I've only gotten an error maybe two times and I've used it at least twice a week since receiving it. The error was easily fixed by resetting the unit via the button on the bottom and setting the temp to around 130 degrees on start up. This melter has been an absolute life saver and I would definitely give it a try if you're looking to scale your business. For me right now, it's the perfect size!

So once I fully learned how to use it I honestly like it and plan on getting another one it can be a headache if you don’t pay attention on how to use it make sure you read the pamphlet it very easy to use it and not hard if you can read & pay attention
It will definitely be very useful since I now have an store front… Start stocking up on my candles & wax melts

So far so good!

I hesitated to buy this wax melter after reading the negative reviews but I decided to go for it and after using it 4 times now, I’m happy with my decision. It has really made a difference in my production and has cut back on the time it takes to make a batch of candles. I make sure and fill to almost max level with wax and leave off the lid while heating. No error codes so far.

Have a little faith <3

I had jumped on this melter the second it become available on the website. However, it sat my garage for a couple months until I finally gained the courage to try it. The dreaded E4 reviews were haunting me.

I use coconut wax slabs and worried about the error. I cut my slab into ‘string cheese’ width slabs and mushed them into the bottom (hoping to alleviate the dry heat error) and filled to the top. WELP. It happened… BUT I immediately turned off the melter, pushed the reset and tried again right away. Leaving the melter on the default setting (I dare not monkey with the temps)
I had to reset the melter and try again 3x but alas!! It worked. Little bit of patience and perseverance.

Hope you have the same success!

It's a great melter!

I've read all the reviews and have had great success with this melter! The first day I had the melter I received the error message. I believe I just had not added enough wax. After that, I've kept it filled to 1/4 or more and have been using it error free for well over a month now. I actually heat with the lid on in case there are any little burst of wax from reheating existing wax. I use coconut soy wax and have never needed to use any setting other than the 600w. Reheating wax has been pretty quick. I love the narrow size of this melter - so it only takes up a small area in my studio. I'm sorry others are having trouble but I do think it has to do with the heat settings and how much wax you have in the melter when you turn it on.
