Our Brown Liquid Candle Dye for candle wax produces a color ranging from light to dark brown depending on the type of wax and amount of dye used. In soy wax, our brown candle dye generally produces light to medium shades; whereas paraffin wax can range from pastel to deep shades. We encourage you to experiment.

Use: 3 drops/lb (454 g) for a lighter shade or 6 drops/lb (454 g) for a darker shade

Note: Use instructions differ between colors.

Too red

I use this dye, but definitely have to add black to it. It still doesn’t come out a true good brown unfortunately, but black helps

I read many reviews stating that this brown dye is tricky to work with due to being light in color. The trick is just to use a few more drops than you usually would, and the color will be beautiful. I am making chocolate chip and coffee bean was embeds and although my first batch is “milk chocolate” color, a couple additional drops brought them to a nice coffee bean and dark chocolate color. I am pleased with this product!

This is a great brown candle dye. I've been using it for 11 years now both as a mixer with other colors or on its own. As with all of your liquid dyes, it is true to color and mixes great with wax.

Red brown

I love the wax and fragrances on this site but no matter how many drops of the dye I used I couldn’t get a true brown. I used 20 drops for an espresso color and wasn’t even close :(

More Red than Brown

I love the fragrances but this was my first time purchasing dye for some coffee candles. Didn't seem to matter how many drops I used, it was still really red with a little brown =/
