Fragrance Oil and Palm Wax

What do you do when you want the fragrance throw of paraffin, with a natural wax? Use Palm! With a little effort, you can make natural candles that have hot and cold fragrance throw that people will love.

As you may know, candle fragrance has been formulated for paraffin wax for decades. With the popularity of soy wax, companies have been scrambling to find the raw materials and bases that allow fragrances to perform well in soy. If you've used soy, you've experienced the disappointment of a fragrance that smells excellent out of the bottle, only to die once it is in wax. Even worse is when the cold throw is great, but the hot throw is either not right or non-existent!

Palm is a bit more forgiving. From our testing, more fragrances seem to perform well in palm than soy. Also, all of the ratings that Candlescience provides for fragrance throw in soy holds true for palm. Our rule of thumb is - if it throws in soy, it'll throw in palm.
